Beautifully put. The Great Dane is the most amazing dog on earth, and it is probably the most amazing dog on other planets too. Until you've owned one, in fact, I'd even go so far as to say, until you've raised one from a pup, you can never comprehend what an amazing dog they are.
When I first got Locke his breeder Pat (a wonderful lady who is full of knowledge) said to me "Jake, by the time he is one, he'll be speaking English." And how right she was.
Though he may not always obey my English, he most certainly speaks it.
